So, we have developed a Team of people who understand our mission, and who are committed to helping our families and communities succeed.
Our three bank locations and our twenty-one employees are managed by an experienced 7-member Management Team made up of five executive loan officers, our Head Teller and our Bookkeeping Supervisor. The group combines more than 130 years of banking experience. This Team works with our local Board of Directors and our Loan Officer Committee to supervise the operations of the Bank.
Through local ownership, a hometown Board of Directors and managing officers every decision is made here at home. We have no other interest than serving our customers and our communities.

John was born and raised in Ponca. He is a graduate of Ponca High School and the University of South Dakota. He is the fourth generation of the Kingsbury family to be bank president starting with his great grandfather in 1927. John started at BDC by burning the Bank's garbage in fifth grade. He began full time in 1971. He works extensively in local and regional community, business and economic development.
He is also President of the Better Ponca Foundation, Inc. and a member of the Siouxland Ethanol Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Nebraska State Highway Commission and a number of other organizations.
Richard was also born and raised on a farm near Ponca and graduated from Ponca High School. He attended college and received his early farm lending background with the former USDA Farmers Home Administration. Richard began at the Bank in 1980. He is in charge of lending and chairs the Office Loan Committee. Richard is also a member of the Bank Board and the Ponca Community Educational Foundation, Inc.
Chris is the fifth generation of the Kingsbury family to work at the Bank. He was born in Omaha, but grew up in St. Louis and Cincinnati graduating from Hamilton High School in Ohio. Chris was a McDonald's All-American. He played basketball at the University of Iowa, as well as the CBA and in Europe. Chris began at the Bank in 2001. He is a licensed executive loan officer and is in charge of personnel, operations and investments. He is a member of the Loan Committee and Bank Board.
Brian grew up in Wayne, NE and his wife Kerrie's family is from Ponca. Brian received his BA degree in Accounting and holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration both from Wayne State College. Brian, Kerrie and their two sons Mathew and Bradley live in Ponca. Brian is the bank's Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Bank's Management and Loan Committees. He splits his time between Ponca and Jackson where he is the Branch Manager and a licensed loan officer. Brian was in charge of finance and recordkeeping for the Ponca Carnegie Library restoration and addition and the financial recordkeeping for the Ponca Community Sports & Recreation Complex. He is a member of the Better Ponca Foundation and an elected member of the Ponca City Council.
